how long is too long before you can quit smoking without getting cancer?I've been smoking for 5 years at about a pack a day... Is it too late to avoid lung cancer? Oh, I smoke pot too!

The sooner you stop, the less chance of getting cancer.
It is never too late to avoid cancer.

I think you have a very good chance of NOT developing lung cancer if you quit now. The longer you smoke the worse your chances will be!

You could never smoke a cigarette and get lung cancer. I think you should quit now. My father passed away in September from lung cancer. It's not fun.
