This is Christie's smoking cessation story. Why does she smoke, what are her triggers and why did she decide to enroll in the QuitRx study at MD Anderson Cancer Center. QuitRx is a research study funded by a federal research grant from the National Institute on Drug Abuse that is designed to better understand how the brain responds when people experience the negative emotions (eg, agitation, irritability, sadness) often associated with quitting.
