Yes, I'm in my 4th week. Took a couple of weeks to get in my system good enought to quit. I found out the first week I tried that you cannot have one cig to be sucessful. You will have queezy feeling for the first week or so but not after that. Just give yourself time to get completely in you system & it will work.

I have not personally tried it but have a friend who has smoked all her life and she has quit using it. She said it works on the chemically addictive properties of smoking, dopamine, I believe it is. Stops your body from enjoying smoking and makes the cigarettes not taste good, so all "benefits" from smoking are lost. Once that happens, the effect is "why bother." A funny comparison, but it sounds like it works like those powders you sprinkle on your dog's food if the dog has that nasty habit of eating poop. It makes them not like the taste any more so they stop eating poop! GOOD LUCK!

First thing is, do you want to quit. If you don't want to quit nothing is going to be effective.

If you want to quit it is still very hard to quit for sure but at least possible.

Chantrix is a good medication which is called a partial nicotine agonist. In laymans terms is works on the nicotine part of the brain to keep the cravings down but also blocks cigarettes (or other nicotine) from giving its normal reward so if you smoke while on it you won't get the usual nicotine effects.

Queasiness and headaches are the most common side effects although the full list is longer.

I don't smoke myself but work as a pharmacist and have seen a number of people try it and of those a few thought it was the best thing they have ever tried, and a few quit because they didn't like it.

Different people, different expectations. Definitely not 100% but sure better than trying cold turkey.
