Nurse Practitioner/2006-2008 Congressional Candidate John Russell and Family Practice Physician Greg Silver review their visit to US Senator Bill Nelson's Tampa office where detailed information on a Publicly Financed Single Payer Health Care Option was presented to the Senator's staff. The absolute minimal request of the Senator (given all of the empirical data in support of including a public option provided), was that Senator Nelson publicly request of Senator Max Baucus, Chair of the Senate Finance Committee that a representative for the Single Payer option be provided a seat at the table. THIS was our starting point. "The BALL" as it were is now in the court of Senator Nelson. WE await his response. Discussion of a conference call or face to face meeting with the Senator were to be arranged by his staff. Again, we will assess the response of the Senator.
