I'll have to go with C. The irritability and other symptoms of withdrawl were brief (a week or two), but the triggers can cause the urge to smoke for years afterwards, even after the actual physical addiction is long gone. Passing by someone smoking or watching someone smoke in a movie can cause an urge to smoke years later. It's so much more of a psychological addiction than a physical one.

I will have to agree with the symptoms of the nicotine withdrawal being the hardest thing to overcome. I have been smoke free for about 38 day and I must say it is tough. I have quit before, for a month, and I have had a 37 year habit only to start again. A big mistake! After starting again, I smoked twice as much. I was told that would happen but didn't believe it. And here I thought I knew everything. Have to admit I was wrong. I have tried Natural supplements which have really worked for me and I am glad I did! If you really want to quit smoking, you really need to make the commitment and stick to it! Supplements will help.
