SMOKERS ONLY: Would you stop smoking if you saw someone die of smoking-related cancer?

SMOKERS ONLY: Would you stop smoking if you saw someone die of smoking-related cancer? My family watched my father-in-law die of cancer from smoking. It was a saddest thing I have ever seen, and my kids were forever impressed by it to avoid smoking and become sort of anti-smoking advocates. Do you think seeing something like that would make you stop smoking?

I know it says smokers only and I'm not one, but I've asked this question to the people I work with. they have all told me "yeah, it's bad for me, but I will quit when I want to." although they know what will happen, they still continue to do it.
