Trying to get pregnant - any herbal or OTC suggestions?I've been trying to conceive for 3 years! I know my husband is able to produce healthy sperm as he's got a child from a previous relationship, so it's got to be me right?
There are a couple things I'm working on to help my body be a little healthier, like exercising more and taking vitamins, and I've been a smoker for a few years (which I've heard can really hurt your chances for conception) so I'm going to the doctor next week to discuss smoking cessation. Still though, I think I might need more help than that. 3 years is a long time to have no results.
Another factor is that I had PID (pelvic inflammatory disease) a couple years back, and it got really bad before any of the 5 doctors I saw figured out what was going on. When they finally figured it out, they told me it had probably progressed pretty far into my system based on the symptoms I had, and there was a good chance of scar tissue damaging my fallopian tubes/ovaries.
Anyway I heard something on the news about an herb or something that some women are taking to help conceive naturally. I really don't think IVF is for me, but I'm not ready to adopt or anything yet. I came into the news report on the tail end, so I missed the name of it. Has anyone heard about anything in particular that has a decent success rate? A lot of the herbs I've heard of don't seem to be that successful.

this reminds me of Friends. lol. well there are some herbs. There was this one herb that my mom carried all the way from the other side of where she used to live. And one of our relatives had been married for 5 yrs and couldnt get a baby. And they came to ask my mom, and she gave it to them. Amazingly, they were able to have a daughter a yr later and came to thank my mom with only 50 bucks! as you know using a sperm donor the way Jon& Kate+8 does it cost THOUSANDS. My mom got ticked off but oh well. lol. that was like 6 yrs ago or 5. Ever since then they were able to have any more childrens. they moved out of town and just recently came in town to have her stomach message. A belief of ours is that you can message your stomach by professional massage rs *people who have massage others to get pregnant* and try it on you. the herb is a asian herb ofcourse, but im sorry i have no idea what it is called. my mom probably know but im out of town. but here are some herbs you and your man can try..gl sweety ..
