what are the long ter effects of smoking pot?my friend smokes it 2 or three times a day i rarely use it but i swear i never feal the same especially after i use allot. can people that become that hooked on it become what is commenly affected to as a "burnout" or develop such a heavy dependence on it they can function properly (which i think he is at that point now) thanks for you're help and intelligent answers.

There are no long term studies on pot use. No one will fund them. But, just think logically, it can't be good to ingest all those free radicals in the smoke.

-in worst cases schizophrenia, but that is usually because of mixing with other drugs
- lung cancer, emphysema and other lung diseases
- if u quite any problems will go away fairly fast.
