What are the side effects from quitting chewing tobacco??My husband quit chewing tobacco1 week ago ,and since then ,he has had insomnia.Anybody know why? or how long it will last?? he quit using the pills that helped him quit 1 week ago also. Thanks in Advance!!!

The only side effect I was aware of was dramatic improvement in tooth colouring... Perhaps he is suffering from withdrawal symptoms similar to those of smokers.

Probably nicotine withdrawal, Maybe his DR will prescibe some ativan to help with the anxiety

strong urges but think of the good healthy life you could have when you do get those urges, theres is nothing wrong with quitting. You'll have a better life for sure
