What is more damaging to your health, smoking cigarettes or drinking?I'm just curious, I do neither. I know that they are both harmful, drinking can affect your mind and liver, etc. And that cigarettes can do a number on your lungs and other effects. But which is more harmful to a person in the long run??

I'd probably say smoking but drinking a lot isn't good for your body either. Although a cup of red wine a day is healthy.

that person wont run longer if any of these are affected on him/her.....Drinking is more harmful because the alcohol consumed at once is more compared to smoking....smoking slowly harms your body.

Definitely smoking, without a doubt. It has no upside (besides relieving stress, but there are thousands of other activities that you could take up to relieve stress), while drinking in some cases can be healthy for you, such as drinking red wine.

They are equally bad when used in excess. Both can end up killing you.

I'm not a doctor, but I do think that although both have negative side effects, smoking is probably more damaging than drinking. People who smoke cause long-term damage to their health and to the health of others through secondhand smoke. The hundreds of toxic chemicals in cigarettes affect many parts of the body. Plus smoking ages people very bad and stinks.
If people limit their drinking and are responsible while drinking, I wouldn't think it would be as bad as smoking pack upon pack of cigarettes per week. All that tar adds up in a persons body, which is definitely a scary and disturbing thought.
