what pipes did the indians use that made smoking tobacco not unhealthy?Sorry if the questions a little confusing:P but my history teacher told me the american indians smoked tobacco through a pipe that smoke goes into your nose and out your mouth so it doesn't go into your lungs. Is this a peace pipe? Does any one know what these pipes are called?

It is still unhealthy no matter what you smoke it out of. It is better if you don't do it often, but that doesn't mean that each time you do it, it isn't equally as unhealthy.

Actually plain tobacco isn't exactly horrible. It's the crap that cigarette companies put into the tobacco that makes it so bad. I knew people who smoke for years and years (regular tobacco) and never got lung cancer or died from it. Ciggs kill. And besides that I thought a peace pipe was for marijuana? Perhaps I'm wrong tho.
