Why does smoking effect my heart rate?


Why does smoking effect my heart rate?Im 18 years old and when ever I smoke my heart rate goes up alot for like 20-30 min is this normal if so is this bad?

omg..your to yong to smoke you still have life ahead of you quit before its to late..and by the way i think it cuts of air for the blood cells or something..for sure it has something to do with blood maybe kills them off

When I used to be a chain smoker my heart rate did not go up. Please go get listened to by a doctor. The nicotine does not constrict someone so much that they would experience a racing heart beat or palpitation. You need perhaps to get more minerals and vitamin C from some extra citrus fruit however.
