Are Police officers allowed to smoke or use tobacco products while in their Police work vehicles?Just curious because I see it alot

Depends, Las Vegas cops cannot smke at all on or off duty. They test for nicotine and if you test positive, you get fired.

Depends on the Departments rules. Most of the Majors have anti smoke policies.

It depends. If the cop thinks that the person in the car has information that would be of help in solving a crime and letting the guy smoke will help get them the info, the cop probably would let them smoke. Generally though, in most areas across the country, smoking in municipal bldgs is prohibited and a police car is an extension of the police station.
