My mother was a heavy smoker. When my mother was dying of lung cancer in palliative care, I made a number of sketches of her. I could not look at the sketches for several years, and then I created a silkscreen about loss called "Never Easy". This animation is based on the image from that print. My mother died of lung cancer in 1993; it took me another 6 years to successfully quit smoking myself. "Buyer beware" is released under the Creative Commons Canada 2.5 license, some rights reserved.
