Can I skip a dose on Wellbutrin?Currently in the process of quitting smoking, and I have my date set. Once the meds are built up in my system, can I skip a dose on nights I intend to drink and still be kosher?

it is not recommended, it is an anti depressant and it can mess with the dosing and side affects, here is a site that you can go to. to find out more info on this drug and others too. www.drugs.com, i have found that this site is very helpful in lots of questions that i have had.

Well, of course any doctor or pharmacist will tell you that you should not intentionally skip a dose of a medication within this drug class. However, as to whether or not you will experience any negative side effects if you were to skip just one dose, then the chances are, you will not. This is not one of the stronger drugs that have a very high potential to shock they system and cause withdrawal effects, so without knowing you and your complete medical history, I can only give you this answer as an educated guess based on probability.
If you do decide to skip a dose, then I would just make sure to have some of the medication with you, just in case you begin to feel any odd side effects, such as rapid heart beat, nausea, cold sweats, etc. (basic withdrawal effects). Then you can just quickly take one and it should stop any ill effects within 30 minutes.
Like I said, it i doubtful that skipping one dose (as prescribed for quitting smoking) will give you any grief...just keep the bottle handy to be on the safe side.

Even if you skip a dose, your blood will have a supply of the medicine built up from you taking it consistently before. You need that build up for the drug to do anything for you which is why they tell you the med won't take effect until after you've taken it for a few weeks.
Skipping a dose and drinking can cause effects ranging from one of the worst hangovers you've ever had (at best) to potentially serious medical/behavioral complications. Don't play games with whatever condition you have that prompted you to take welbutrin in the first place. Being in your right mind is worth the pricetag of a few drinks. And you'll be a better date if you're not going crazy (or being rushed to the hospital).
