Does sucking a mint whilst smoking increase risk of cancer?

Does sucking a mint whilst smoking increase risk of cancer? Is this a myth or is it true? Ive heard that sucking a mint whilst having a cig increases the risk of mouth cancer

Mati
I've never seen any actual research on this, but the reasoning is that the mint might slightly irritate the tissue in your mouth, making it more susceptible to lesions. I don't know if there's any actual science, but I'd probably avoid doing it just to be on the safe side. (To really be on the safe side, stick with the mint and skip the cigarette.)

Do you know what the biggest cause of cancer is???
Stress, worry and holding it in your gut that will be the first problem and if you beleive everything you hear then dont forget back in the 1940's smoking was advertised as " Good for your health"..... Hmmm listen to your own body pleeeeeease and if suckng a mint and smoking worries you then ask yourself WHY? Is it because your body hates it oorrr because you heard it " from a negative vibe merchant" ?? You know :o)

OK, is this from the same people that said you can get pregnant from a toilet seat ?

Having a cig increase the risk of mouth cancer - end of.

The mint even theoretically would only cause trauma to the layers of skin at the uppermost. These are shed very very very rapidly and undergo far more trauma than mint sucking each time you eat or have a hot drink.

smoking alone is high risk
