How do i convince my mom to let me buy a hookah and smoke it? Its not that bad is it?Im old enough to buy a hookah and smoke it, I need my mom to say its ok. She lets me drink and stuff, but i don't know how she would react around smoking. I just need facts or websites that give alot of info on safety and the benefits of smoking hookah, and some discussion tips to win her over to my side. I just think when she hears "smoking tobacco" shes gonna shut down, so i need ways to get her to realize that its not like cigarettes or weed or anything that bad. thanks alot!

Whether hookah is as bad for you as cigarettes is often debated. Hookah IS a tobacco product, so of course it involves health risks associated with tobacco use. However, it really depends on how often you smoke hookah. In one hookah session, you could inhale volumes of smoke equivalent to several cigarettes, but (I'm assuming) you're not going to smoke hookah as often as you would cigarettes.
As for facts and websites, the Harm Reduction Journal published a study that will help you out. It basically stated that the health risk is still there, but very low compared to cigarette use. They also said the risk is low, but increases if the user smokes often. The link is in my sources below.
