Smoking does permanent damage, in that it shortens the body's telomeres, especially in the lungs.

But after just 2 weeks, the amount of damage it's done is incredibly negligible. You might have just shortened your lifespan by 2 days or something.

Yes..and start hitting the gym too, if you see those people who go to school and show the dead people's lungs who used to smoke while they are still a live you will get an idea how bad is smoking for you..

You will have done some permanent damage, but you will be much closer to having the health of a never smoker than the health of a smoker.

However, I suppose that if you rigorously avoid secondhand smoke you might end up with less total cigarette toxin exposure than a typical non-smoker and thus actually could be considerably healthier than a typical non-smoker.

Just quit. You have not been smoking long enough to do serious damage. But if you continue you will. Why did you start in the first place. My boyfriend who is only 27 just had a heart attack last week mainly caused from being a smoker. Just quit now before you get addicted.

Statistically, the statistics for lung cancer and emphysema are the same for people who never smoked and people who stopped smoking 15 years ago so it's being assumed that your body needs 15 years to clean up.
I stopped smoking 13 years ago and in 2 years, my statistics will be the same as someone who never smoked.
