Will 5 months of drinking have any long-term side effects either physically or mentally if I quit now?I don't want to drink at all anymore. Will there be any negative long-term effects either mentally of physically if I stop now?
Heavy drinking.
Some nights 12 beers+
some nights 6
some nights none, but normally every couple days at most, ,sometimes I would go 3 or 4 days....
I'm 23.

Since your 23, your brain has fully developed. So, the only really bad negative long term effects would be your liver. Physically, also I think you more weaker.

Quit now and you'll be fine. The liver is the only internal organ that can regenerate, but it's not likely that you did much damage in that amount of time anyway. Some people drink like that for decades before it kills them. There are other things that can be damaged of course, because alcohol goes wherever blood goes, but it's the liver that takes hardest ****-kicking.
If you're still not sure, then take your liver out and test it for firmness, pinkishness, and bouncyness.
