I want to gain my weight back! Those who have expereienced this, please resond!?I always hear people complaining that they want to lose the weight that they have gained...well, in my case, I want to GAIN the weight that I have lost. I am 20 yrs old and three years ago I began to smoke cigarettetes and since then, I have lost a total of 15-20 pounds! (I ate less and smoked more). My shape used to be perfect and I loved my body...I am currently in the process of smoke cessation to get back healthy, but other than that, what else can I do to increase my size? I don't mind fat...just not too much(I don't want muscle, just thickness)lol. Seriously tho, can someone please help me? Are there certain foods I should eat? I will also try drinking meal replacements(along with my meals) b/c they contain a lot of calories...what do you suggest.

Eat food that contains starch(like rice, bread, potato) or protein(meat,milk), and rest more. Easy.

try eating a hi carb diet but not the refined carbs more like the wholegrain carbs like wholemeal pasta and wholemeal bread etc... thats just a thought to maybe help you gain weight but to do it healthfully too.

I too have a gaining weight problem. The only way I can gain weight and keep it on is by lifting light weights (5 lbs. but lots of reps) it fills out my shape and makes me more "solid" (and toned too) since I tend to run 10 lbs (sometimes more) underweight when I don't exercise.
