help on weight loss for wedding,.....?I have recently got engaged (19th april 2009) and we are planning on getting married in June 2012.
I am currently 23 stone, 5ft10 and female and would like to get down to my ideal weight of 10 stone by the time i get married. I don't want to be stupid about it and lose 3 stone in a week (lol), so I figure if i lose 1-2 lbs a week then I can easily hit this target.
The problem is i suffer with eating disorders, I have suffered with bulimia in the past, binge eating and starvation. At the moment I am either not eating or only eating one meal at night. I know this isnt good, I know the body holds onto anything you eat and you will not lose weight.
My question is, can anyone suggest a simple eating plan that is cheap and easy (I have 3 kids at home), how many calories I should be taking in, and any form of exercise bearing in mind I am severely obeseand suffer with sciatica. Basically any help or tips to help me get to where I want to get.
I am just starting a blog on the subject of weight loss and also smoking cessation as I am seeing a nurse next week to help me stop smoking and am starting Slimming World next week too. I am hoping the blog may help too.
Any help would be appreciated.

When you are losing weight, you should exercise and diet together.
If you exercise without dieting, you will get bigger appetite, which
will lead to increase of weight, or muscle grow
underneath the fat layer, and make you bulkier. If you diet without
exercising, you will become flabby and will have excess skin. For
diet, go wheat free. No pasta, pizza, bread and so on. And no food
after 7 p.m. People achieve marvellous results with it. Depending on
your initial weight, you can drop upwards from 20 pounds a month. If
you don't eat wheat then you don't eat all those sticky, fatty goey
cakes, you don't eat junk food, and you don't eat biscuits. But your
diet is still balanced. It costs nothing, and you do not have to
calculate points or to buy special meals or plans. For exercising,
start with walking, and then switch to running/jogging. Running is the
most efficient and calorie-burn exercise ever. If you are overweight a
lot, walk first or you may have health complications (heart attack,
disjointed bones and so on). Weight lifting is a good means to target
your problem areas for men and women. It's not necessarily to become a
bodybuilder or even join a gym - a couple of dumbbells will help you
to target your problem areas (stomach, butt, legs, arms, chest).

i lost 33lbs by counting calories and then i'm in a bookstore and come across I Can Make You Thin by Paul McKenna and i buy it and find out i didn't even need to count calories but just reprogram my mind about food and eating. it was so simple.
since you mention your weight in stones and i think Paul McKenna is british, i quess his book was available there first.
so if you want to lose weight and not deal with an eating disorder at the same time then check him out. also, his eating technique(the craving buster) with also work with smoking.

I have been through it all and know what's it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can't be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I've worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can't eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising...
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it's good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It's so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I've found a great addition to help any one out, it's a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don't get all crazy on me and say diet pills don't work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn't meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It's an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace dot com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it's the best pill I've tried and I've tried cupboards full. Now this doesn't mean you have to follow my foot steps but I've successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.
Well good luck and remember what I said, Dedicate.
