Is there a sure way to quit smoking?

Is there a sure way to quit smoking?When I went threw Navy boot camp 2 yrs ago, I started smoking again afterwards. I am about to go threw some Army training through the national Guard. I hope to pass the infantry training, but I need to quit smoking, any ideas? (tried cold turkey, doesn't work"obviously")

I smoked 20 years and went cold turkey!!!! Worked for me!!!!! nine months later not smoking yet!!!!!

When push comes to shove, the best way is willpower. You need to realize that smoking will never offer you something Valium can't. Just taped yourself off slowly, and don't put yourself in situations when you think you'll be likely to smoke.

im in the military and a friend of mine quit smoking cold turkey. he worked out everyday and felt better, and he is now hooked on coffee. I ask him "damn bro, you drink a lot of coffee"......and he says "better doing this than to be out there smoking"
