Taking Wellbutrin for cessation of smoking?
my doctor has prescribed me wellbutrin (bupropion) to try to quit smoking. i have read it is for depression as well, my question is..if im not depressed and take this medicine will it make me all "crazy"..im just curious b/c i have read the side effects on it and just curious if anyone has taken this as well to stop smoking that didnt have depression..any feedback will be great! i start tomorrow morning

My doctor also prescribed wellbutrin for me to stop smoking. I am not depressed nor did it make me crazy so to speak.. I did not get the urge to smoke so it was helping as far as that goes. On the downside I could hardly stay awake, when I was awake I would lose long periods of time that I couldn't account for, and felt as if I were in a very, very slow motion. I quit taking it for these reasons. If you experience any side effects at all, or even anything you think that isn't right tell your doctor immediately.
