You should definitely stop immediately. I don't think this early the baby would be affected. With my first, I smoked more than that and didn't find out I was pregnant until I was almost 10 weeks along and everything turned out fine she is a completely healthy 3 year old! Still don't smoke either!!!

It's advisable not to smoke at all during pregnancy :)
Good luck :) x

My mom smoked through all 3 of her pregnancies (I am 23, and my sisters are 22 and 18) and we have never had any kind of health issues. I definately wouldn't suggest smoking while pregnant but we were all fine.

Baby is most likely fine, but you definately need to quit now. Nicotine competes with nutrients in your body so when you smoke, less nutrients go to baby. Babies of smokers are smaller in weight and high higher risk for sudden infant death syndrome, asthma, etc. You can do it! Just think about the benefits for both you and baby.

There are many women that smoke during the first trimester without realizing that they're actually pregnant. I wouldn't be too concerned. Even women who do hard drugs and drink during the first month can still have healthy babies if they stop once they find out. Don't worry, I'm sure your baby will be fine if you stop smoking now.
