With meth use in the U.S. costing 23 billion a year, why was there no money in the Great American Giveaway?

With meth use in the U.S. costing 23 billion a year, why was there no money in the Great American Giveaway?Plan to add more DEA officers and try to fight it? No, they would rather redo the Mall, and research smoking cessation..
Here is the link for all you RETARDED Liberals out there...All of you should be put down...http://news.yahoo.com/s/hsn/20090204/hl_hsn/methamphetamineabusecostsus234billion

Your horns are showing Morris.
Meth is hillbilly heroin. No wonder YOU are concerned.

There needs to be more money spent on finding a cure for this addiction.

The south will rise again? I highly doubt that. But hey, it would be a plus for the NASCAR industry now wouldn't it?

My idea...legalize marijuana so we dont have to deal with it and focus on drugs like meth that really hurt people.

Because prohibition has never worked and the money is needed to address real problems.

I'd like the link to the $ 23B statistic, would love to see what they include. By my reckoning, that is $ 23B flushed down the toilet, if true. Along with every other dollar spent on the "war on drugs."

Legalize drugs, tax the proceeds, and educate users on the perils of use. I will never support burning up my tax dollars to prevent drug use.

To begin with DEA is a joke along with the War On Drugs. If and when they look at health care hopefully they will come up with a comprehensive plan for treatment. Also restructure the sad mess our mental health system has been allowed to become.
Since their last effort to quell this only gave the business of cooking this crap to Mexico it has added to their problems also.
