Can i use ash tree wood for bbq smoking and if so what do i have to do with it after i cut it down?I have a Green Ash tree in my back yard thats blocking all the sun from my deck and im going to cut some of it down and im curious if it can be used for smoking meats and such and what do i have to do with the wood after cutting it down to be able to use it?

Ive never heard of or used ash for meat cooking so I cant help u much there so try it n see. use something cheap like hamburger then go from there. but if u want really good smoke n food flavoring then use mesquite-gauranteed!
