For Wiccans: Is it wrong to cast a spell to help my husband quit smoking?My husband is deployed overseas and has talked about going to smokers cessation classes. He has done this before as well as tried a couple different ways to quit, but hasn't had complete success. He wants to quit not only for himself, but for his family as well. I know it's wrong to do something to impune someone's freewill, but all I want is to try to help him. He has decided himself to quit smoking so I am not trying to force him to do something he doesn't want to do. Any thoughts?

Fuzzy Peach: I disagree with your answer in that it is most definitely not an issue of trust. We have been through a lot and trust problems are a non-issue with us. Also, I believe that communing with nature is only one aspect of Wicca and others would probably agree. I do honestly respect your right to you opinion and am not trying to attack it. Thank you for your input.

It's deceitful for you to "spell" your husband out of a bad habit. No matter how unhealthy it is, trying to control his behavior that way shows serious fault in the trust between you two.
There are ways to quit that you can look into.
P.S. Wicca is about communing with nature. I don't really believe Wicca carries magical properties, but remember the threefold law before you try to fix anyone's life.
