Tips on how to quit smoking whilst pregnant?

Tips on how to quit smoking whilst pregnant?I'm about four weeks pregnant. And cold turkey is not working for me at all, I am aware of the risks if I continue smoking so please don't go saying stupid things to upset me. I've cut down the strength and the amount from fifteen cigarettes per day to about three-five, but I really want to quit so for those who were pregnant and a smoker, how did you do it? Because I know cold turkey will not work for me.

Whoever answers this & go's on saying how they smoked while pregnancy should be ashamed of themselves. You see, I'm not trying to put you down. But think about it, whatever you do is like a consequence to your baby do you care?

Stopping smoking is a pretty simple thing to do... in principle. Maybe because of it sounding so easy it catches people off guard and ultimately makes it much more difficult to quit.

There are a lot of products out there that can help you to stop smoking. Which is best for you depends on many factors and ultimately the only person that knows which is best for you is you.

The best thing to do when you are looking to stop smoking is to find out what options you have, and then decide which sounds best for you.

Here's a website that lists the different things that are out there to help you stop smoking.

Morning sickness helps :) I stopped at 6 weeks, I went from 2 packs a day to 5-10 smokes in the 1st week after I found out (at 4 weeks) and then by 6 weeks it was only 1-2. Just think about your baby and remember you're doing it for them. I have absolutely no judgement for you not quitting cold turkey, you're trying at least. It might not happen straight away but you'll get there. I used to eat heaps of lollies and chewing gum too :) good luck hun!

My mother cut down smoking with me.

and as a child of a parent who smoked.. I BEG you to stop smoking.. whatever you need to do to stop.. PLEASE do it.

I have had upper respiratory problems my WHOLE life, and the smell of smoke triggers asthma attacks, it's terrible.

Doctors have proven that all my respiratory problems are a direct result of my selfish mother.
