How can I get medical tobacco?

How can I get medical tobacco? My family has a long history of Parkinson's disease, and I really want to avoid this terrifying illness. I know that tobacco uses is useful for lowering Parkinson's risk, so I would like to use smoking medically. Since medical marijuana is becoming popular, it's only logical that medical tobacco should be given equal consideration since they both have similar health effects. I am poor and cannot afford tobacco taxes, is there anyway I can avoid them? I feel that the government hould not stand between me and my health, much less my freedom.

Haha, what a mooch. Just pay for your cigarettes like everyone else does. If you cannot afford them, then tough shit. The government isn't going to write you a prescription for smokes. Do you have any idea how stupid that sounds?

Nothing stopping you!
Thankfully the treatment you want to use is legal. Lucky for you you don't have to wait on your medicine - you can buy a cartoon and smoke up today!! Your Dr. does not even need to be involved.
Your argument has nothing to do with medical marijuana!! I'm poor too - the gov does not pay for medical marijuana or taxes. No health plan pays for marijuana.

Good luck with your freedom.

You should consider that you might be one of the people in your family who will not develop PD or there may be little you can do to prevent it depending upon your environmental toxin exposure.

You might want to try cigarettes from Native American suppliers which currently but probably not for long can be ordered online. These products are not taxed and with a little luck, there may be a store near where you live. Some of these products do not have additives - if you are careful in your selection.

You should also consider your diet - rich in antioxidants and B complex vitamins. As well as the benefits of green/black teas and caffeine.

There is no sure way to prevent the developent of PD if you already have the risk factors including environmental exposure. As I see it, the best you can hope for is a delayed onset and/or slower progression.

Nicotine and marijuana do not have similar health effects. Nicotine and caffeine may delay the onset by binding to specific receptors in the brain. Nicotine mimics other neurotransmitters. The effects of mj are a bit different. The use for PD is primarily to relieve symptoms. Here are links to 2 different articles:

Nicotine may be neuroprotective in certain ways. You can read the article below. But keep in mind that there are some mixed human studies and you are not a fruit fly. The current studies involve the nicotine patch not smoking. Previous study results have been mixed. But smokers do seem to have a lower rate of PD.
