How do I teach my cats a certain mutually beneficial concept? It's a flexible instruction in fact. I need to teach them the concept of cause and effect. Then we can do business together.
I just lost my job because the company went bankrupt while my wife still has her job and her career going smoothly; I am stuck at home going online looking for a job with plenty of time. While my wife is at work, I cook, clean, run errands and take care of our cats.
I need to teach her[my female cat] that if she wants some catnip or some other goodies all she has to do is go into my wife's purse, inside the purse there is a wallet (I can show the cat what that wallet looks like.) Inside the wallet there are a few sheets of folded colored paper. She needs to take out those sheets of paper and hand them to me. The color and quantity of the sheet of paper determines what type of goodies she is going to get.
The cause and effect:
1 sheet of gray paper (5 Euros): A can of tuna
1 sheet of red paper (10 Euros): 200g beef
1 sheet of blue paper (20 Euros): A can of anchovies
1 sheet of orange paper (50 Euros): Catnip
1 Sheet of green paper (100 Euros): Anchovies + 750g beef steak + caviar + catnip
1 Sheet of yellow paper (200 Euros): Smoked salmon + 1 grilled chicken + beefstake + catnip
1 sheet of violet paper (500 Euros): All of the above on weekends for 1 month + I will worship the ground she walks on during weekends + my undivided attention during the weekends.
There I said it. How to teach cats information like this? Is this too complex for them? Surely cats are not colorblind are they? Also how can I get her to pass this knowledge to my other cat. He [the other cat] just likes so sit on the table all day doing nothing; I want him to be more active.

I would suggest repeated demonstration of the mechanics of retrieving the pieces of paper in exchange for treats...that is, unless you're too scared of a fry pan upside the noggin!
