How do you quit an addiction you're psychologically dependent on?I've had some hard times and that caused me to pick up bad habits. I've done them for so long and I want to quit now. But every time, I go back. How can I quit?

Have you ever considered rehab? My ex-roomate had an extremely severe gambling addiction for years. He would go through these spells where he'd tell himself he'd never bet again, and a couple of months later he'd be back at OTB or disappearing at night and coming home with no money. This went on until I told him if he doesn't check himself into rehab I'm moving someplace else because he could never pay the rent. When he came out, he was clean as a whistle. When I asked him what did it, he said that not being constantly tempted by the casinos and the constant betting, etc... really helped him because he was able to overcome his urges in a controlled environment. So my advice to you would be try rehab because it is temptation-free and professionally controlled.
