If the tax on cigarettes is for the public health system, why aren't they providing smoking cessation aids?

If the tax on cigarettes is for the public health system, why aren't they providing smoking cessation aids?If the cigarette tax is supposed to deter people from smoking, why aren't they using any of the revenue from the tax to provide low income people that use the public health system with smoking cessation aids to help them quit?

If they truly wanted people to quit, wouldn't it make sense to provide those that can't afford $ 137 a month on chantix or $ 50 on patches or gum those products to help them quit?

Are they truly interested in helping people quit or is this just a money grab from people with an addiction?
Wow... a goverment website so that you can READ about how to quit.

So, now, anyone with an additction can just read how to quit and they are done with it?

Sweet... I guess all those drug addicts can just read about how to quit and all is well.

Good thing we can get rid of those rehad centers, those things cost a fortune.

You have got to be kidding me. Can you read? They offer free counseling to help quit. In each state.

It is a money grab. If they truly wanted people to quit the tax per pack should be $ 100.

I have to be honest, I don't want the government telling us not to smoke.

How many freedoms do democrats have to take away from us before we see them for what they are?
