Men's Health: Smoking, good or bad?My dad is a pretty heavy smoker, he smokes every day, maybe 7 cigs a day. I don't plan on smoking that much, but wanted to know something, nevertheless.
Does any amount of smoking affect your health very seriously? Or is keeping it at maybe 1 or 2 cigarettes a week ok?
I also heard, that the amount of fumes and gases in the air of big countries nowadays is just as bad for your health as smoking. Is there any truth in this?

No matter how many you smoke it's still bad for you and your health, I think it's disgusting too

Smoking is addicting. I you start smoking, you most likely won't be able to stop. I don't recommend anyone to smoke, and never will.
Don't do it, it can ruin your health, and shorten your lifespan.

Hi from France
Obviously that smoking is bad !.. There are so many proofs, alas ... That damage not only our lungs, but also : heart, brain, arteries, libido etc...I think smoking cigarettes is worse that fumes and gases in the air, because when we smoke, we put the smoke straightly in our lungs and there are many poisons in them !
Have a nice day,
Cat.

Sad to say this but everything you have heard is true about smoking. "Every cigarette is doing you damage", thats a very popular slogan. It doesn't matter how little the amount cigarette you smoke given by any amount of time, every cigerette is doing your damage.

I suggest your dad to give up smoking, he doesnt have to do it all at once but give up smoking once in a little while. That way it could decrease the amount of damage on his life span and you could spend more time with your dad in the future.
Hope this helped.

Have you been taught anything?
