Quitting smoking, detoxifying and lymph nodes...please explain!?I am in the process of quitting smoking. I tried cold turkey last month with no results. This time it is going a lot better, I am reducing the number of cigarettes I smoke each day and now I am down to just four a day. I feel much more successful in this fashion.
But now my lymph nodes are swelling up :( I was already thinking about Detox tea after I completely quit, which should be within a week. But now I'm even more concerned about it, and I found a great one I really like, from a trusted seller I purchase herbs from often.
My question is
1. What is up with my luymph nodes swelling all of a sudden? Right between my neck and my ear
2. The description of the tea is " A blood purifier that works through the lymphatic channels." I have no idea what that means. Can someone eplain it to me and also let me know if it will help my poor lymph nodes and help my body expel the last of the toxins?

My guess is, you're getting sick. I can't find anything linking "quitting" smoking and lymph problems. It is flu season after all.
As for the tea.. I don't know if that would be a good idea or not. It really depends on what's in it. The whole purification thing just means that the tea is supposed to help the lymphatic "immune" system work better to clear out all the "bad" stuff in your body - and your blood is a part of the body. That sounds great as an idea. But, if you're trying to fight off something - your body needs all the vitamins and nutrients it can get. If you can get all that from the tea, that's great; but, if you can't.. it will just tax your body & make you feel worse.
If it were me.. I'd take care of myself, get through the rest of the smoking, and then think about the detox. Your body's already upset about the lack of cigs. Why push it faster than you have to?
