Tips or stories on quitting smoking?I'm 16. I've been sick twice in the past two months with what seems to be a cold, but I've read some forums about fire safe cigarettes and other people have had the same problem. I've been smoking regularly for two years. My brother has been on me to quit for a year and I finally feel like I'm ready. I want to quit for myself mostly but my brother plays a big part in quitting, I'm hoping that I might inspire him to quit.
Can I get tips and/or stories?

I've smoked for years, I once quit smoking for 3 months. I took the drug my doctor prescribed to me then stopped it did help a bit with the craving but still you will need will power to stop it was really hard the 1st 3 days but after each day a little better by 2 weeks I was almost not wanting a cigarette at all. 3 months later I had never smoked 1 then I had 1 and was ok didn't smoke again for 2 weeks I had 1, after next week 2 cigarettes none for a week then 4 next thing I was smoking again I wanna quit once again now. If ya quit don't make the same mistake I did I'll just have 1 cause next thing you'll be smoking again. It's hard and takes will power but you can do it. There are patches and gum, and drugs to help if ya need but the main thing you need is to want to and do it.

Patches and gums have a 50% failure rate, because they don't address the hand-mouth and "throat hit" components of the smoking habit.
Instead try this healthier way to smoke, while gradually decreasing the nicotine content at your own pace:
