I've had the best luck with gradually quitting the way i did it was i didn't smoke then if i started getting irritated or really really craving one i would take a couple drags off a cigarette then put it out eventually i had quit and didn't have any problems i didn't even want them anymore the only thing is i think you truly have to want to quit
