WHY CAN'T THEY INCREASE THE PRICE ON ALCOHOL TO OFFSET THE CIGARETTE TAXES READ THIS CHILDREN WILL SUFFER MORE?

WHY CAN'T THEY INCREASE THE PRICE ON ALCOHOL TO OFFSET THE CIGARETTE TAXES READ THIS CHILDREN WILL SUFFER MORE?The increased taxes on tobacco will not be a solution which will actually last the four and a half years required to support the children's health care plan. I am a smoker and an occasional dipper who is forced to quit because I simply can not pay that much for tobacco, the majority of smokers will probably be forced to follow the same path. Thus resulting in a failure of the children's health care plan, as well as the temporary situation caused by a large percentage of the population having a simultaneous nicotine fit. Ironically the taxes are to benefit a children's health plan when they will be the ones that suffer when their parents are short tempered from the withdrawals. Why is it just tobacco, when it could be divided amongst the entire population by taxing a product that everyone uses. It would make more sense to add yet another tax to alcohol because it has a much higher mortality rate then tobacco when considering drunk drivers, alcohol related diseases, and general alcohol related deaths caused by stupidity.

if everyone quits smoking, how is obama going to pay for his socialist health care plan?? who is going to be taxed next? The money has to come from somewhere.
