One of the side effects is decreased appetite.

It is most likely because the medicine needs to be taken with food and well if you dont eat you are more likely to develop side effects

Zyban decreases appetite and food cravings along with the craving to smoke. If there's a history of an eating disorder it leaves the consumer at risk for abusing it and continuing with their eating disorder.

Yes, you shouldn't take Zyban if you've had an eating disorder, particularly bulimia. Zyban can increase your chances of having a seizure and in combination with the health problems cause by ED's, particularly bulimia, you can increase your chances to an EXTREMELY dangerous level.

NOTE: The warning has NOTHING to do with the fact that it decreases appetite or must be taken with food. Many MANY drugs decrease appetite and/or must be taken with food but do NOT include this warning. This warning pertains to SEIZURE risk.
