Can pipe smoking in moderation have any health benefits for anxiety?Question is straightforward, I just ask that because I hate cigarettes but I heard pipe smoking is ok in moderation.
Just to go into little detail I am a health buff but my stress from work is just causing physical problems.

Basically, no.
The anxiety relief thing is a myth. Basically what happens is nicotine withdrawal (when you're addicted) is very stressful, smoking relieves that stress. So smokers just smoke to relieve the stress of not smoking!
If they did not smoke at all, then they'd not have this stress. So, if you start smoking you'll have the stress of work PLUS the stress of nicotine withdrawal when you can't smoke. By starting smoking you will actually increase your stress levels.
Pipe smoking is particularly good for giving you mouth cancer too.
Try other ways of stress relief such as running, martial arts or other forms of exercise.
Edit: No Jacob, you speak from the point of someone who's addicted to nicotine. If you smoke, you have a 50/50 chance of it killing you. How relaxed will you feel with lung cancer? Or knowing your smoking has caused lung cancer in someone else?

Yes, the pure relaxation of smoking a pipe can reduce stress. As I can speak from experience.
